How to use Siri to control MERCUSYS smart devices

With the Shortcuts app in iOS 12 or above, you can use Siri to control your MERCUSYS Camera— all with just a tap or by asking Siri. It’s easy to create a new, custom shortcut using the Shortcuts app for iPhone or iPad. This article takes MERCUSYS camera as an example to introduce how to implement this feature.

Before You Start:

  • Ensure your MERCUSYS camera is set up successfully and can connect to the internet.
  • Ensure the name of your MERCUSYS camera is easy to recognize. Each MERCUSYS camera device should have a unique name.

Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad, and add one new shortcut.

Open the Shortcuts app on your phone and click the add icon at the top right corner.

Step 2: Rename the shortcut you want.

E.g., Light on.

Click the arrow icon on the right of the New Shortcut and select Rename in the menu.

The new change to Light on from New Shortcut.

Step 3: Click “Add Action” button and enter “MERCUSYS” in the search bar.

Click “Add Action” button and enter “MERCUSYS” in the search bar.

Step 4: Select an action you want.

E.g., Turn on/off a device.

Step 5: Select a device you want.

E.g., MC210

Click the Device to select a device.

Step 6: Click “Done” button and finish.

Note: You can test it by clicking the triangular play button in the bottom right corner.

Click “Done” button at the top right corner to finish or click the Play icon in the bottom right corner to test the shortcut.

Now, you can enjoy using Siri to control the MERCUSYS camera device.

Say Hey Siri, Light on to the phone to use the shortcut.
