How many Halo H series units can I add to my Halo H series mesh network?

In theory, you can add as many Halo units (which could be different Halo H series models) to your existing Halo H series mesh network. In the actual environment, the quantity of the Halo units in a network depends on how you connect them and what model you use as the main Halo.

If you use different H series Halo in one mesh network, we recommend that you use a higher specification product as its main route.

We recommend the following sequence as the main router choice.

H90X/H80X>H70X>H50G>H30G>H30.

If the H90X/H80X/H70X works as the main router, we recommend no more than 9 Halo units in the network to ensure performance.

If the H50G/H30G works as the main router, we recommend no more than 6 Halo units in the network to ensure performance.

If the Halo H30 works as the main router, we recommend no more than 3 Halo units in the network to ensure performance.

Note: A hop is a trip that a data packet that is transferred from one Halo unit to another Halo unit.

In a Hybrid network, some Halo units are connected through Ethernet, while others are connected through Wi-Fi. In this case, we recommend no more than three consecutive Wi-Fi hops in the network.

Q: Can Halo H50G work with the other Halo models?

A: Halo H50G is compatible with all units from the Halo H series to form a Mesh network. Please note that the Halo H series and S series cannot work together. For example, H50G cannot set a mesh network with Halo S3/S12.
